President Biden announced the latest round of appointments to his administration on Friday within the Departments of Health and Human Services, Education, and Veteran Affairs.
The president appointed Chiquita Brooks-LaSure to be the Administrator at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. She served in the Obama administration to move the Affordable Care Act to passage and implementation.
James Kvaal was appointed by the president to serve as the Under Secretary of Education. He used to work as a deputy domestic policy adviser at the White House, focusing on economic advancements for Americans.
Lastly, the president appointed Richard Sauber to be the General Counsel at the Department of Veteran Affairs. He was appointed by President Reagan to lead the first multi-agency task force fighting against fraud in government contracts before entering into private practice.
